Lake Volvi

West of Niriides Luxury Apartments, a few kilometers only, is Lake Volvi, the second largest lake in Greece.

Overall, in terms of flora, in the area are recorded 336 species of plants, while 13 of them are considered extremely rare.

In the lake live 24 species of fish, and are recorded 19 species of amphibians and reptiles, 34 species of mammals and over 300 bird species. Lake Volvi is a stop on the journey of many migratory birds and a wintering point and breeding for others.
